MLK...

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.

Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Such a powerful message, and yet one that is so hard to live... it's amazing that everyone who preached christ's message of love for hate was perceived as such a threat that they were killed...

I'll try to love those that persecute me.

PLAYA: The power of suggestion!

Only you could destroy a contemplative post, and plant a mental picture in place of what I thought was a pretty cool photo... Now I can't see anything but your kind suggestion. :(

So, thanks, I guess...

Interesting isn't it how light can always dissipate darkness? I had a religion teacher in college who spent days talking to us about light and how it is the source of all power, growth, intelligence and learning. I feel it literally powers the universe.

I have always felt that Christ's love is the source of all that is good in this world. He is literally the "light of the world" and the universe.

I've come to believe with all my heart that Love is all that matters in this world. Love of God, Love of our fellow man, Love of self. After all, when it's all wrapped up, all we can take home with us is the warmth of our loving relationships and perhaps what we learned in our walk with others.

BTW, I'm back in the blogoshere. I hope some of you will check out my new post...
